Lowe's is Looking for Seasonal Employees
"Spring is one of our busiest seasons," says Bill Morrissey, manager of Lowe's store, West Indianapolis. "That's why we need creative, energetic people who can give helpful advice on home and garden projects."Morrissey states that Lowe's is looking to hire more than 60 people this season. The company needs to fill temporary, part-time positions on varied schedules for the months of March through June. Beacon of Hope Presents 3rd AnnualEvening of HopeThe Beacon of Hope Center for Women, Inc., will host its 3rd annual Evening of Hope & All That Jazz on Saturday, March 9 from 5 to 10:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing.Organizers promise an evening of music, fun, dinner, and dancing featuring The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, plus a Distinctive Diamonds high-end jewelry raffle. MSD Decatur Township Board Recognizes Proctor February 12The MSD Decatur Township Board gave Community Partner Recognition to Rick Proctor, vice president of BMO Harris Bank and president of the West Side Chamber of Commerce, at its February 12 board meeting.Referring to Proctor as "one of our most committed business advisors," the board made special reference to his service on the Challenger Learning Center Advisory Board and the Decatur Township Educational Foundation Advisory Board.
Beacon of Hope Launches New Initiative Targeting Teen Dating ViolenceIn response to the growing problem of teen dating violence in our community, Beacon of Hope Center for Women, Inc., has developedTeen Talk, a series of interactive presentations aimed at providing outreach support to youth affected by teen dating violence.The program includes information to help teens recognize the warning signs of an abusive relationship, steps to help them safely end an abusive relationship, resources and ongoing support services, how to foster healthy teen relationships, and more.Beacon of Hope plans to launch its Teen Talk presentations this month, in recognition of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, a national initiative.
